Starch residue is a byproduct of starch production in agricultural products such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, and cassava. The moisture content is about 80-85%, with high internal moisture and viscosity. With traditional drying process and equipment, starch in slag undergoes gel chemical reaction, dextrin blocks the pores of material particles, and water will not evaporate. The surface of the particles is brownish black in color, with an "outer coke and inner softness", which seriously affects the appearance of the dry slag. The Dingli starch residue dryer is developed based on the characteristics of cassava and potato residue raw materials. Through the production practice of multiple sets of dryers, various potato residues can be dried to less than 12% at once.
The working principle of the starch residue dryer is that the material with a moisture content of 80-85% is first dehydrated to about 68% by a specially designed dehydrator, and then sent to the mixing drum dryer by a screw conveyor for downstream drying. The material is continuously picked up and scattered under the plate, and moves forward in a spiral shape. The built-in mixing blade device fully stirs and disperses the material, fully expanding the heat exchange area between the material and the hot air. The material exchanges heat with the hot air, and the moisture quickly evaporates and vaporizes, reaching about 35%, completing the drum drying process. The material is discharged by the screw conveyor and enters the semi wet material special crusher. After crushing, the material particle size is below 1mm. After entering the pulse airflow drying process, the material quickly drops to below 12%.
Dingli has been committed to researching starch dryer equipment for 20 years and has a mature R&D system and production experience. We have a certain quality guarantee for the equipment, welcome to come for consultation!
