The grain dryer is a system project. During long-term continuous operation, some sudden failures will inevitably occur. Whether the failure can be correctly eliminated as soon as it occurs will affect the normal operation of the equipment and the safety of personnel and equipment. 1. The grain dryer tower and grain discharge mechanism are clogged. This kind of accident can cause serious consequences. If not eliminated in time, it can cause the food to be burned or even cause a fire. The root cause of the blockage is that the grain has not been cleaned properly and there are too many impurities. The cleaning of grain should be strengthened to ensure the effective work of cleaning equipment and the tower should be cleaned regularly.

2. Grain discoloration and fire accidents. The cause of the accident was that the grain grains were partially blocked inside the tower and the grain circulation was not smooth. Grains that are partially stagnant or flowing very slowly may produce burnt grains if they are exposed to high-temperature drying media for a long time. Impurities that have not been cleaned are overly concentrated under the influence of automatic classification, and are prone to fire under the long-term action of high-temperature drying media. The solution is to strengthen the management of cleaning equipment and ensure the smooth flow of food in the tower.

3. Fire occurs in the grain dryer. When the dryer catches fire, the following operations should be carried out immediately:

1) The grain dryer implements an emergency shutdown and closes all fan main gates;

2) The hot blast furnace will be temporarily shut down. Turn off the blower and grate motor, open all furnace doors, dampers and gates on the hot blast stove, add coal to suppress the fire, and keep the hot blast fan working to reduce the temperature of the furnace and heat exchanger.

3) Open the emergency food discharge port to discharge food and burning fire blocks.

4) Clean the fire residue in the dryer, analyze the cause and deal with it in time before starting it.

5) It is strictly forbidden to pour water into the tower to avoid rupture of the tower body and complete damage to the drying tower.

4. The grain dryer is leaking air. This is caused by the pipe connections not being sealed. If there is dry medium leaking from the top of the tower body, it is because the upper grain layer is too thin and hot air blows through. At this time, the grain feeding speed is lower than the grain discharge speed. If you encounter the above situation, you should deal with it in time, strengthen the sealing work or adjust the food feeding speed.
